We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Loader to join our team at Smithfield Foods. As a Shipping Loader, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient loading of products onto trailers, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload products from trailers and warehouse racks
  • Verify accuracy of shipping documents and computer data
  • Prepare records of shipments and bills of lading for outbound trucks
  • Inspect trailers prior to loading to confirm sanitary conditions and proper refrigeration equipment operation
  • Perform basic data entry in Excel, Access, or other PC software as required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and related experience or training
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
