Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Lead Clerical, the primary duties of the Patient Services Coordinator include welcoming clients, assisting visitors, managing patient registration, scheduling appointments in collaboration with referring physicians, patients, and their families, overseeing patient flow, and delivering outstanding customer service. *Fluency in Korean is required. Applications from non-Korean speakers will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients courteously and promptly.
  • Assist clients with inquiries and requests in a friendly and patient manner.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is prepared prior to patient arrival.
  • Accurately process patient registrations, entering information into the RIS and resolving discrepancies with patients, clinics, or insurance providers as necessary.
  • Review and complete examination questionnaires with patients as needed.
  • Scan relevant documents into the patient chart within the RIS.
  • Manage patient check-in/out processes, collect payments, and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Provide assistance to patients who may have difficulty moving or filling out forms.
  • Document important notes in the patient chart within the RIS.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Prior experience in customer service, cash handling, and attention to detail is highly preferred.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year in customer service (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with medical terminology (Preferred)
  • Basic computer skills (Preferred)

Language Skills:

Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence. Capable of writing basic correspondence and effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings. MUST BE FLUENT IN KOREAN or CHINESE.

Technical Skills:

Successful candidates should possess knowledge of word processing software, internet applications, RIS, and PACS.
