Laborer - Austin, TX

We are seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team at Hensel Phelps in Austin, TX. As a Laborer, you will play a critical role in supporting our construction projects by providing general labor assistance to skilled crafts and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist skilled crafts with tasks such as clean up and maintenance of jobsite perimeter, preparation of areas at jobsites, and loading and unloading building materials, machinery, and tools.
- Perform daily inspections of jobsite barriers and walls, and assist trades with access into work areas.
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute site materials to the appropriate locations according to project plans and specifications.
- Assist welders, carpenters, painters, or other tradespeople onsite, and use power tools and machinery when needed.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks, and put up warning signs, cones, and etc for vehicles and passersby.
- Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures, handling and transporting materials and/or personnel, and load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Experience with a wide variety of construction machinery.
- Ability to take initiative and ask questions, possess a keen attention to detail, and follow instructions.
- Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills.
- Reliable and punctual, with reliable transportation and consistent work attendance.
- Experienced in construction layout, blueprint reading, and shop drawing reading.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- CPR & First Aid Certification.
