We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traveling Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery to join our team at South Austin Hospital TX. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns in the Labor and Delivery unit.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
- At least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or a related field.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technology.
- Knowledge of labor and delivery procedures, including cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
The Labor and Delivery unit at South Austin Hospital TX is a 20-bed unit that provides care to expectant mothers and their newborns. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by a team of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals.
