Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Dining Area Host/Hostess to provide exceptional guest service at Highland House, a leading hospitality group in the Tampa Bay Area. This role is ideal for individuals with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.

About the Role
The Dining Area Host/Hostess will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and escorting customers to assigned dining or bar areas. You will also provide menus to guests, answer questions, and maintain a clean reception area. Additionally, you will coordinate with wait staff about available seating options and cater to guests who require extra attention. Your strong organizational skills and ability to multitask will ensure seamless operations throughout your shift.

Responsibilities
• Welcome guests to the venue and ensure a positive first impression
• Manage reservations and communicate with guests about wait times
• Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas and provide menus as needed
• Maintain a clean reception area and restock supplies as required
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options and table assignments
• Cater to guests who require extra attention, such as children or elderly guests
• Answer incoming calls and address customer queries
• Assist wait staff as needed during peak periods

Requirements
This role requires a previous work experience as a Host or Server, understanding of restaurant etiquette, familiarity with health and safety regulations, and experience in managing reservations. You must have demonstrable customer service skills, excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person), and strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area. Availability to work in shifts as needed and good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift are essential.

Benefits
HIGHLAND HOUSE offers a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including meal discounts, weekly paychecks, company parties, and opportunities for growth and development.
