About the Role

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Lead to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading, communicating, and training warehouse area-specific teams. You will also be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train employees on warehouse functions and processes.
  • Answer daily questions from warehouse employees.
  • Communicate directly with the inside sales team to solve internal and external issues.
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place items on racks, shelves, or in bins, according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Operates forklift to transport stored items from shelves to package area for shipment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of SAP.
  • Able to communicate on multiple platforms.
  • Demonstrated proficiency driving a sit-down and stand-up forklift and the ability to become certified.
  • Knowledge of order picking, receiving product, understanding how to piece orders together, and outbound product loading/unloading.
  • Product on racking and bulk storage and cycle counting.
  • General warehouse safety is strongly desired.
Experience:
  • 6 to 12 months of related experience is required.
