Nuclear Medicine Technologist Opportunity

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a dynamic team at a reputable acute-care hospital in Abilene, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and administer radioactive drugs for diagnostic procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Capture high-quality diagnostic images to assist physicians in diagnosing infections or disorders.
  • Manage patient appointments and schedules, prioritizing day shifts from Monday to Friday.
  • Minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff by implementing safety protocols.
  • Analyze laboratory specimens as needed, maintaining accurate records and results.
  • Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures and protocols to ensure understanding.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiology or Nuclear Medicine program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine, with a strong foundation in radiology principles.
  • Certification from NMTCB or ARRT, with Texas Medical Board-MRT certification.
  • CPR/BLS certification, with comprehensive knowledge of Nuclear Medicine principles and practices.
  • Proficient in starting IVs, familiar with EKGs and stress testing systems, and able to perform injections for pharmacologic testing.
