Job Title: Lead Building Engineer

CBRE is seeking a highly skilled Lead Building Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.
  • Monitor building system operations and performance, applying several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.
  • Inspect building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by clients.
  • Coordinate and inspect the work performed by outside contractors, including landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning.
  • Perform assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance, completing maintenance and repair records.
  • Review assigned work orders, estimating time and materials needed to complete repair, ordering materials and supplies to finish tasks.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training.
  • Universal CFC certification preferred, with additional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos, asking clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, responding to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
Working Conditions:

The Lead Building Engineer will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to various weather conditions, noise, and physical demands. The ability to lift and carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more is required.
