- Monitor production results and report through Daily Management.
- Conduct daily meetings with Team Leaders to discuss production progress and address any issues.
- Participate in Value Stream daily meetings to identify areas for improvement.
- Confirm routine quality checks and ensure adherence to Team Member Standard Work.
- Audit for adherence to Team Leader Standard Work and identify areas for improvement.
- Help cover Team Leader absences and perform Leader Standard Work tasks.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including policy, attendance, corrective action, and disciplinary action.
- Oversee manpower and vacation scheduling to ensure adequate staffing.
- Assist with monthly production planning and ensure good coordination between shifts.
- Lead process trials for changes in process and maintain and improve team morale.
- Oversee Team Member development and cross-training to ensure a skilled and adaptable workforce.
- Manage cost reduction activities and shepherd process improvement projects.
- Coordinate with the maintenance department for maintenance activities and ensure necessary support from outside groups is available.
- Coordinate linkages to upstream and downstream processes to ensure seamless production.
- Knowledge of responsibilities in roles, policies, agreements, regulations, safety rules, schedules, and interdepartmental relationships.
- Knowledge of work in products or services provided, standards, technical skills, materials, tools, equipment, works standards, and work methods.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Ability to anticipate and proactively address changes in output, attitudes, and relationships.
- Ability to recognize improvement potential, make an improvement plan, follow through, monitor results, and learn from outcome.
- Proficiency in making small, incremental, daily improvements.
- Skilled in teaching and developing a well-trained workforce, transferring knowledge, and creating experiential learning opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience leading teams required.
- Ability to traverse the production facility.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds at a time.
