Client Support Specialist II

Job Overview:
The Arizona Department of Agriculture is seeking two dedicated and proactive individuals to join our licensing division as Customer Service Representatives II. These roles are essential in providing support and information regarding various licensing and permit programs managed by the Department of Agriculture. Candidates must be prepared to work on-site consistently and demonstrate reliable attendance.
The Department is committed to providing training for suitable candidates interested in our Customer Service roles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Central Licensing Customer Service Team to manage licensing initiatives, including but not limited to: Credentials, Feed, Fertilizer, Pesticide, Seed, Aquaculture, Dairy, Eggs, Meat, Native Plant, Livestock Brands, Equine Hauling, and Pest Management Licensing.
* Address customer inquiries through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person visits.
* Process data, collect fees, perform deposits, and ensure account balances are accurate.
* Handle customer complaints and resolve complex issues.
* Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulations.
* Execute additional tasks as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of:
• Effective customer service strategies.
• Relevant federal and state regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Arizona Revised Statutes related to licensing operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with software related to Meat, Dairy, Egg, Aquaculture, Brands, and Equine.
• Basic mathematical skills and knowledge of accounting principles.
Skills in:
• General accounting practices, including cash handling.
• Customer service techniques across various communication methods.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Interpreting and explaining rules and regulations to the public.
Ability to:
• Effectively prioritize tasks and manage time.
• Make sound judgments within established guidelines.
• Work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Multitask efficiently.
• Adapt to changes in policies and procedures.
• Communicate clearly with walk-in customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are encouraged to apply.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Candidates may be required to complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify) as part of the hiring process.
