Responsibilities:

  • Dispense, compound, label, store, and ensure the proper use of pharmaceutical preparations.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the department and direct the Pharmacy Technicians.
  • Advance the goals of Norton Healthcare by providing exceptional patient care and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Exercise leadership in all matters related to the medication use process for patients of all ages.
  • Provide pharmacy-related education to pharmacists, technicians, other healthcare practitioners, and the public.
  • Support and facilitate the Quality Improvement (QI) process through ongoing development and monitoring of performance improvement indicators.
  • Grow and facilitate Pharmacy work teams to meet quality, clinical standards of care.
  • Assist the Director in providing effective and efficient use of all resources and ensuring budget and value proposition targets are met.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • Bachelor Degree
    • Pharmacist
  • Desired:
    • Doctorate Degree
    • Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist

Working Conditions:

This position requires a high level of interaction with physicians, nurses, patients, other healthcare providers, as well as pharmacy management in problem-solving and project interaction.
