Nurse Manager

As a Nurse Manager in our Progressive Care Unit, you will oversee a team of frontline nurses and serve as a liaison between caregivers and leadership teams. Your primary responsibility will be to communicate the organization's goals to the nursing staff, ensuring that they are aligned with the organization's mission to improve patient experiences and deliver quality care.

CHI St Vincent Infirmary is a 600-bed faith-based, non-profit, acute care facility providing quality healthcare to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas. Our level II trauma center is a regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, behavioral health, cancer care, neurosciences, and other specialties. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a department of nurses, ensuring everyone has what they need to deliver the best care possible to our patients.
- Engage with the floor, talk to the nurses, the patients, and families, and keep your finger on the pulse of your department to ensure smooth operations.
- Attend meetings with leadership to learn about new initiatives, budgetary status, areas for improvement, and bring this information back to your team of nurses.
- Monitor attendance among nursing staff, watching for any patterns of missed shifts that may need addressing.
- Monitor productivity and efficiency of your department, including budgets, to achieve the best throughput while never compromising on care.
- Mentor people on your team, share your knowledge and confidence with assistant nurse managers, charge nurses, and others, and build them into potential nurse managers like yourself.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
- Registered Nurse License in good standing (State of Arkansas, or compact state, prior to hire).
- At least 5 years of nursing experience, in an acute care setting.
- Critical Care experience is strongly preferred.
- 3-5 years of clinical leadership experience is preferred.
