Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Compressor Testing Supervisor to join our Engineering Test Laboratory team in La Crosse, Wisconsin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians in building, testing, and qualifying Trane Technologies' compression products.
Responsibilities- Ensure a safe work environment for yourself and team members, maintaining a safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Plan and align team resources and facilities to support the build and testing of Trane Technologies' compressor products.
- Talent Management – recruit, mentor, and motivate team members while maintaining an engaged team approach with the rest of the organization.
- Lead, sponsor, and support the implementation of productivity, quality, and capital expenditure projects that enhance our world-class Commercial HVAC and Applied Compression Laboratories.
- Manage the expense budget for development testing of Trane Technologies' compression products.
- Associate degree or 2-year equivalent technical degree and 10+ years of work, education, and/or supervisory experience in a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
- Previous supervisory or project team leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to listen and speak effectively before groups of customers and employees across the organization.
- Excellent ability to coach, motivate, and engage others to develop high-performing teams.
- Self-starter with the ability to lead in a fast-paced team environment and build cross-functional partnerships.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of complex variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to understand, follow, and author current work instructions and applicable test standards.
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
