Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at OSF HealthCare. As a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform and record two-dimensional ultrasound diagnostic examinations using ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional patient data.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ultrasound diagnostic examinations using ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional patient data.
  • Complete patient intakes by collecting medical history and answering patient questions regarding imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with providers to determine if additional images are required.
  • Eligible for registration as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered as a Vascular Technologist with the Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute (CCI).
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited ultrasound program.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 12 months of prior related clinical experience to be able to independently perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, equipment operation, and to gain knowledge of patient care techniques.
