Job Title: Physician AssistantAbout the Role

Akeso Occupational Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing medical services to our patients, promoting their health and well-being, and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical services under the supervision of a physician, including assessing patient health, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans.
  • Contribute to the efficiency of the physician's practice by identifying patient care issues and recommending options for improvement.
  • Implement physician directives and maintain accurate and complete medical records.
  • Assess patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examinations, including updating and studying medical histories.
  • Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting test results.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures, including administering injections and immunizations, suturing, and managing wound infections.
  • Instruct and counsel patients on normal growth and development, emotional problems of daily living, and other health-related topics.
  • Provide community care by developing and implementing patient-management plans.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation and enforcing adherence to requirements.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Develop healthcare team staff by providing information, education opportunities, and experimental growth opportunities.
Requirements
  • Minimum one (1) year experience, 2000+ clinical hours, and experience in Occupational Health.
  • Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant program.
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
  • Current California Physician Assistant License.
  • National Provider Identification Number (NPI).
  • DEA Registration Number.
  • BCLS.
  • CPR and AED Certified.
  • Understanding of general medical and surgical conditions based on knowledge of indications, contraindications, and side effects.
  • Maintains accurate and complete medical records.
  • Understanding of the concepts of universal precautions, HIPAA, and OSHA.
  • Warm, friendly attitude with excellent patient interaction skills.
  • Team player.
