As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in assisting our licensed nursing staff with daily living activities, ensuring the highest level of care and comfort for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Assistance with Daily Living Activities: Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
- Medical Support: Give treatments, perform tests, carry out procedures, and collect specimens as instructed by licensed nursing staff.
- Documentation and Reporting: Record observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
- Transportation and Escort: Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed.
- Communication: Answer signal lights promptly and maintain open communication with residents and staff.
- Housekeeping: Change bed linens, make beds, and keep rooms clean and orderly.
- Workplace Safety: Maintain safe and sanitary workstations and equipment.
- Encouraging Independence: Encourage residents to maintain their independence, attend activities, restorative programs, and rehabilitation.
- Professional Development: Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned by supervisor.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
- Geriatric Experience: Prior experience in geriatric care is preferred.
- Communication and Documentation: Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to document care given.
