- Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain a New Mexico Department of Education license within 90 days.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
- Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Maintains professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Align educational programs with site objectives and district goals.
- Guide and support students in various developmental areas.
- Ensure the fulfillment of Individual Educational Plans (IEPs).
- Assist students with unique learning needs.
- Design and implement instructional activities.
- Communicate regularly regarding student progress.
- Create a supportive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Deliver curriculum as per assigned teaching responsibilities.
- Employ conflict resolution techniques with students.
- Establish academic performance targets.
- Maintain accurate documentation for accountability purposes.
- Provide suitable instructional activities while managing classroom order.
- Keep detailed records of student attendance and performance.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and school functions.
- Exhibit necessary competencies and effectiveness in teaching.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards.
- May undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Work Schedule
Work hours are defined in the employment contract. Additional hours may be assigned by the School Principal in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
