Chatterbox is in search of a compassionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to take on the role of Clinic Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for overseeing clinic operations while providing speech therapy to a select group of clients. You will collaborate closely with our team of therapists and Speech Language Pathology Assistants to deliver essential services and support to our clients. Your primary duty will be to assist in the execution of tailored speech and language therapy programs that cater to the individual needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, ensuring records are up-to-date and preparing reports for caregivers.
- Engage in team meetings, professional development sessions, and workshops to enhance your skills and stay informed on the latest practices in speech-language pathology.
- Encourage a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters communication and social interaction among clients.
- Implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies to assist non-verbal clients in achieving effective communication.
- Directly work with clients to provide therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing communication abilities.
- Support the development of curriculum and lesson plans for communication programs.
- Supervise Speech Language Pathology Assistants.
- Conduct meetings and training sessions with parents to align on client goals.
- Valid SLP Licensure in Texas.
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working with children with special needs, especially non-verbal children, is highly valued.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including Speech-Language Pathologists, educators, and families.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a sincere passion for supporting children with special needs.
- Familiarity with AAC devices and various communication methods.
- Capability to modify therapy techniques to suit the unique needs and learning preferences of clients.
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
