Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to join our team at Dassault Aviation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our aircraft manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify and assess risks associated with new tasks or reworks on aircraft/components progress, and develop action plans to mitigate those risks.
  • Technical Coordination: Coordinate and manage daily technical action plans, and work with assembly team managers to assign tasks, operations, and discrepancies to be performed on aircraft/components according to schedule and quality level.
  • Critical Issue Monitoring: Conduct daily monitoring of critical issues and implement improvements when necessary, including addressing shortages, technical events, and schedule discrepancies.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report critical issues to the assembly team manager, providing recommendations and actions to resolve them.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination: Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials, parts, documentation, engineering data, and other items required for aircraft or shop operations.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans to improve processes or products in terms of cost, schedule, quality, etc.
  • Project Management: Manage aircraft/components transfers, projects, and new processes under the supervision of Business Unit management.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: May be selected as the assembly team's subject matter expert (SME) for special projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Engineering, Business, or related field, or relevant education from an accredited college or university may be substituted with years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience: Three (3) years of experience in aircraft completions, maintenance, and/or components manufacturing.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of engineering practices and challenges related to production process management, ability to research, analyze, and recommend efficient production processes, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Project, Access, and SharePoint.
  • Additional Qualifications: Fluency in French, aeronautical experience, FAA Airframe and Powerplant licenses, leadership experience, formal training in Lean/Continuous improvement, and PMP Certification.
