Zurich North America is seeking a skilled Apprentice to join our team and contribute to our innovative General Insurance Apprentice Program. This two-year program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry while pursuing an Associate Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Insurance.

As an Apprentice, you will support our Claims Care Center in Schaumburg, Illinois, handling incoming inquiry calls and Live Chats of varying complexity, ensuring a positive customer experience. You will also have the opportunity to work with internal and external customers, exchange information, clarify facts, and resolve queries efficiently. Additionally, you will work within multiple Zurich systems, utilizing resources and best practices to accurately manage non-technical claim-related inquiries while fostering a positive customer experience.

The program combines targeted coursework at Harper Community College in Palatine, Illinois, with relevant work rotations at Zurich North America's headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. As a result, you will earn a tuition-free Associate in Applied Science degree, receive a Department of Labor Certificate of Apprenticeship, and possess credentials and skills for today's ever-changing marketplace.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be enrolled and validated as college-ready by Harper Community College Admissions. Professional work experience is not required, but it is preferred if you have 1 or more years of work experience and/or leadership roles in student activities and/or significant voluntary community service.

The compensation package includes a competitive salary, ranging from $40,000 to $50,000 per year, depending on your level of experience. In addition, you will receive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
