About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
  • Operate various equipment, including wheelchairs, stretchers, vital sign machines, bladder scanners, lifts, and oxygen.
  • Assist with procedures using proper technique and complete thorough, timely, and accurate documentation of care provided.
  • Recognize and react to acute changes or emergent patient conditions, such as bleeding, abnormal vital signs, and behavior crisis.
Requirements
  • Citizen of the United States.
  • One year above high school with courses related to the Nursing Assistant occupation.
  • English Language Proficiency.
Working Conditions

This position requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, and manual dexterity. You may be exposed to infected patients and contaminated materials and may be required to don protective clothing in isolation situations or operative/invasive procedures.
