Massage Therapy Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Massage Therapy Educator to join our team at the Milan Institute. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of massage therapists by sharing your expertise and passion for the field.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in massage therapy principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction, designing engaging lesson plans, and providing guidance and support to students as they develop the necessary skills to excel in the field of massage therapy.
**Estimated Salary:** $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the Position
- Deliver comprehensive instruction in areas such as massage techniques, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and client assessment.
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and learning objectives.
- Provide theoretical and practical instruction, demonstrating and modeling proper techniques, safety practices, and ethical standards in massage therapy.
- Supervise and provide hands-on guidance to students during practical sessions and clinical practice.
- Assess student progress through evaluations, examinations, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and laboratory environment.
- Mentor and inspire students, serving as role models and professional guides in their massage therapy journey.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., massage therapy, kinesiology, biology).
- Massage Therapist certification in good standing is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a practicing massage therapist.
- Prior experience in teaching or training, preferably in a massage therapy or allied health education setting, is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of massage therapy principles, practices, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts and techniques to students.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for educating and mentoring aspiring massage therapists.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
