Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security and Public Safety Officer to join our team at Lowell Community Health Ctr. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our staff, patients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a visible security presence on campus, conducting regular patrols and responding to emergency calls as needed.
  • Deescalate situations quickly and effectively, communicating effectively with local authorities as needed.
  • Escort staff to their vehicles as needed and assist staff with security and safety-related matters.
  • Notify the Public Safety Supervisor of any major repairs or unsafe conditions requiring attention.
  • Document security and safety-related events as required.
  • May be required to work occasional nights and Saturdays, as well as be on an on-call schedule for after-hours support.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in security and public safety preferred.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Bilingual is preferred.
Work Environment

This role will require working both inside and outside year-round, alone or as part of a crew. You may be exposed to noise and biohazardous waste.
