About The RoleTo fulfill our goal of serving a significant number of Fellows in the coming years, Braven is in search of a Senior Vice President of Program Management to spearhead the growth and development of our initiatives across new regions.
This role will be instrumental in creating effective systems and operational processes, ensuring our organization scales efficiently while maintaining high-quality outcomes and achieving economies of scale.
This position is part of the Product Management team and reports directly to the Chief Product Officer.Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Prioritization
Engage with fellow leaders to establish a clear vision and direction for the organization-wide program implementation strategy, ensuring alignment with our impact goals and overall organizational mission.
Design and execute strategic initiatives that support the organization's expansion objectives while enhancing program effectiveness, scalability, and overall impact.
Prioritize programmatic adjustments to align with the overarching operational framework, sequencing updates and innovations to meet annual growth targets outlined in our strategic plan.
Guide the organization towards consistent and progressive steps for programmatic integrity and sustainability.Identify opportunities for operational enhancements, automation, and cost-effective solutions through technology, and implement streamlined processes to improve overall organizational efficiency.
Assess and refine existing workflows, pinpointing areas for improvement and automation to bolster the organization's sustainability as we expand.Ensure Operational Excellence
Translate Braven's vision of Operational Excellence into actionable strategies and promote them throughout the organization.
Foster strong relationships with other leaders and teams to gain a deep understanding of their work and the implications of implemented changes, assisting them in navigating organizational decisions.
Help leaders recognize the impact of their decisions on cost management, student learning, and program results, collaborating with them as their needs evolve and guiding them through trade-offs in the overall model.
Oversee key organization-wide operational initiatives through program management processes and tools.Develop and implement risk management strategies to ensure resilient and compliant operations with various standards, establishing protocols for identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Evaluate and negotiate vendor contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality service delivery.Build and Lead a High-Performing Team
Assemble and lead a dynamic operations team, nurturing a culture of innovation, collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
Prioritize the development of team members through coaching, feedback, structured development plans, and performance evaluations.
Facilitate planning sessions and retreats for team development.Oversee team budget in collaboration with the Chief Product Officer.
Model Braven's core values and competencies for the team.
Recruit and onboard team members as necessary.
Quality Assurance and Evaluation
Establish and enhance quality assurance protocols to uphold the highest standards in program delivery, adapting to new market dynamics.
Develop and refine evaluation strategies to assess and enhance program outcomes across diverse contexts.Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
At least 5 years of experience in team management.
Demonstrated success in implementing processes that enhance efficiency, impact, and cost savings.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Operations Management, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration).
Proven success in a senior operations role within a large, growing, and fast-paced organization.
Experience leading teams and managing projects in complex environments during periods of growth.
Proven ability to lead significant change initiatives through effective change management skills.
Strong organizational skills, capable of managing both high-level concepts and detailed tasks.
Exceptional relationship-building skills, enabling rapid trust establishment and collaboration across various management levels and identities.
Balanced perspective, allowing for effective prioritization of urgent matters and emotional regulation for self and others when necessary.
Excellent communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to foster collaborative relationships in diverse environments.Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to adapt, innovate, and make informed decisions.
Solid understanding of AI technologies and their application in operational settings, including cost-benefit analysis of implementation.
Experience in risk management, quality assurance, and compliance.

Work Demands
Ability to work in-person at designated locations at least 3 days per week.
Willingness to travel 20-30%.Ability to support programming during evenings as needed.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position will be determined based on prior work experience and assessment of fit for the role, with competitive base salaries aligned with the midpoint of the market among similar nonprofit organizations.
