Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Locomotive Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marmon Holdings, Inc. in Houston, TX. As a Regional Rail Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of locomotives to ensure reliable equipment for employees throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on locomotives in a cost-effective manner.
  • Troubleshoot and fix mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Maintain proper records, including preventative maintenance sheets and invoices.
  • Handle environmental issues, such as proper disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic safety assessments on equipment.
  • Suggest and implement administrative or engineering controls to abate or minimize safety hazards.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • Must have mechanical experience, electrical experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid Driver's license.
  • Must be able to operate cutting torch and electrical welder.
Working Conditions

The work environment is dynamic, with frequent exposure to outside weather conditions and moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate.
