Job Summary

The Multi-Modality Technologist role at Dartmouth Health requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to perform general radiologic procedures, including CT and DEXA procedures. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical skills and a strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate imaging equipment to perform X-Ray, CT, and DEXA procedures
  • Review medical records and referral orders for patient history and clinical information
  • Position patients according to protocol and monitor their well-being during exams
  • Guide patients through the exam process and provide pre-exam processing, performing the exam, and post-exam documentation
  • Keep patient schedules and communicate delays or changes to the appropriate person(s)
  • Exercise sound judgment regarding image quality and determine when repeats are necessary
  • Use the ALARA concept to minimize patient radiation doses and document and report any over-exposure
  • Follow all safety procedures, including the appropriate use of PPE, and maintain cleanliness of all rooms, machines, and cassettes in the department
  • Utilize applicable aspects of the Radiology Information System and perform other duties as required or assigned

Requirements

  • Registered with the ARRT with advanced certification(s) in CT or Bone Density
  • Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the State of New Hampshire
  • Associates Degree in Radiology Technology or equivalent
