Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Human Resource Coordinator to join our team at Medford Public Schools. The successful candidate will assist the Director of Human Resources with all HR functions, including hiring, onboarding, leaves of absences, and separations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts to attract qualified candidates for various positions within the school district.
  • Recruit and maintain the daily substitute pool.
  • Oversee the hiring process, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and reference checks.
  • Collaborate with other departments to set up new employees with access to district-used platforms and devices.
  • Maintain HR databases and systems to track employee information.
  • Follow offboarding procedures.
  • Provide orientation for new employees, including information packets, policy reviews, and onboarding responsibilities.
  • Answer questions from employees, applicants, and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or 5 or more years of experience in an administrative/analytical role.
  • Successful experience working in municipal or school district human resources is preferred.
Working Conditions

The Human Resource Coordinator will work cooperatively with other central office personnel and handle highly sensitive and confidential information.

Equipment

The successful candidate will use standard office equipment, including personal computers, copy machines, fax machines, and telephones.
