Job Title: Mid Database Administrator

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a skilled Mid Database Administrator to support our US Transportation Command – Global Freight Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, plan, implement, and administer databases, including security, access, and documentation.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain GFM Oracle RDBMS servers supporting development and quality assurance testing operations.
  • Install Oracle RDBMS software and upgrade as necessary.
  • Develop patching schedules to address vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate and apply DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Establish and maintain Oracle DBMS High Availability plans.
  • Address Oracle RDBMS downtime and/or performance issues efficiently.
  • Create and troubleshoot RHEL Linux shell scripts.
  • Support release deployment of DDL/DML scripts.
  • Assist teams with on-demand data and business-oriented queries.
  • Support Agile development projects with database changes.
  • Maintain Database configuration control across multiple environments.
  • Migrate Oracle AWS GovCloud EC2-based databases to AWS RDS for Oracle databases.
Requirements:
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • IAT Level II certification; CompTIA Security+ CE highly preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience administering Oracle DBMS, coding Oracle database solutions, and utilizing current database management system (DBMS) technologies.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in establishing and deploying new Oracle database systems and solutions.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL with demonstrated ability to troubleshoot performance issues, optimize database structures, and manage stored procedures.
  • Proven experience in application design and development using various DBMS, along with a deep understanding of DBMS internals.
  • Experience with AWS Gov Cloud environment.
