Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Harborview Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, including setting up equipment and sterilizing instruments.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, maintaining a safe and organized environment.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team.
  • Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and patient information.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA).
  • 2 years of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in an operating room.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
