Position Summary

As a Water Safety Professional at Life Time Fitness, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our members in and around our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools. You will work in a fast-paced environment, monitoring the pool deck and maintaining safety on water slides. You will also assist with aquatics events, such as "Dive in Movies" & "Poolapalooza." Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with members to provide exceptional customer service
  • Rescue swimmers in danger of drowning and administer first aid
  • Ensure swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities
  • Maintain a clean and orderly pool area to ensure the safety of our members
Requirements
  • Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
  • Lifeguard and First Aid Certification
  • Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
  • Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
  • Ability to tread water for 1 minute
  • Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
  • Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs
Preferred Requirements
  • 6 months of customer service experience
