Automotive Technician

The Fleet Maintenance Division is in search of an Automotive Technician to join our team.
This role offers a competitive starting wage based on experience and skill level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles and equipment within our fleet, including both on-road and off-road machinery with diesel and gasoline engines.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify and address their mechanical needs.
- Conduct Preventative Maintenance tasks such as fluid changes and tire replacements.
- Troubleshoot and repair light-duty vehicles, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, drivetrains, and air brake systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in the workshop and at job sites.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Valid driver's license; must acquire a CDL learner's permit within one month of hire and a CDL within six months.
- At least two years of experience as a professional Automotive Technician, with related experience considered.
- Basic understanding of gas and diesel engines, as well as air conditioning systems.
- Must possess basic hand tools or be willing to acquire necessary tools for the job.
- Must pass drug screening and background checks, and be eligible for a state inspection license after completing the training program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification from a recognized Automotive Mechanic Training program.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems.
- A/C diagnostics and repair experience, along with A/C certification.
- Knowledge of engine ignition systems and hydraulics.
- Heavy Truck certification and a state inspection license are advantageous.
- Candidates with an Associate Degree in a related field are encouraged to apply.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
Licenses and Certifications:
- A valid Driver's License is essential.
