POSITION OVERVIEW

As an Automotive Service Technician at Big O Tires, your role will involve executing service and installation tasks related to our products and services efficiently and accurately.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver prompt and courteous customer service
  • Encourage sales by effectively communicating the advantages of our services and products to clients
  • Maintain professional and timely communication with management, team members, suppliers, and customers
  • Keep supervisors updated on any maintenance issues or concerns that require attention
  • Safely handle customer vehicles, including both automatic and manual transmissions
  • Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks; rotate and balance tires; and ensure proper wheel torque
  • Unload delivery trucks, inspect tires, and manage disposed tires for adjustments
  • Uphold a clean workspace, tools, and equipment in accordance with company standards
  • Understand and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Utilize company checklists to ensure consistent adherence to policies and expectations
REQUIREMENTS
  • ASE Certification
  • Availability to work during holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as necessary
  • Reliable transportation to the workplace
  • Ability to grasp new concepts and utilize technical resources
  • Proficient in operating computers and other office equipment
  • Capable of safely driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Willingness to work with hazardous materials and in various weather conditions
  • Compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) regulations
  • Ability to remain stationary (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift
  • Capacity to lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Meet company requirements, including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and background checks
