Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join our Department of Medicinal Chemistry. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in medicinal chemistry, biochemistry, and computational studies, and will contribute to the development of our research program in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery/design.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in medicinal chemistry, biochemistry, and computational studies at the undergraduate, professional, and graduate levels.
  • Develop and maintain a research program in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery/design, with a focus on interdisciplinary collaborations.
  • Contribute to the development of our research program in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery/design.
  • Serve on departmental, school, and university committees as necessary.
  • Participate in professional service activities, such as reviewing manuscripts and serving on conference committees.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Medicinal Chemistry, organic chemistry, computational chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Postdoctoral or advanced training experience in design, discovery, and development of drugs for the treatment of cardiovascular, cancer, neurological, and/or infectious diseases.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three or more years of teaching experience at the Pharm.D. and/or graduate level.
