Job Title: Production Worker

McWane Ductile New Jersey is a leading manufacturer of water distribution and infrastructure products. As a Production Worker, you will play a critical role in our production process, ensuring the highest quality products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Observe and maintain magnesium, silicon, and chill material levels, and change lime bags as necessary.
  • Pour iron and weigh coke and lime before each charge, checking the coke and lime scale.
  • Clean the cupola long runner, pig bed, and transfer ladle pits, and other areas assigned by the supervisor.
  • Work with the supervisor to repair ladles before the production run, and communicate any issues that arise.
  • Check the temperature of the iron hourly, remove slag from the iron using a skimmer, and ensure the trough is heated properly.
  • Inspect machinery for mold defects, operate control panels to operate machinery, and apply grease to the spigot ring using a brush.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Preferred: 2-3 years of previous experience working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
  • Ability to read policies and procedures, follow work directives and safety procedures, and work with others in a professional, supportive manner.
  • Self-starter with strong communication skills and ability to read and understand English.
