Position Overview:
SSM Health Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to fulfill a Float role within our specialized outpatient rehabilitation services. We focus on assisting individuals who are recovering from significant injuries or illnesses, providing them with the necessary support to regain their independence. Our centers are committed to a holistic, interdisciplinary approach to rehabilitation, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of assigned patients and set appropriate treatment objectives.
  • Continuously assess patient progress and adjust treatment goals as necessary.
  • Design comprehensive treatment plans aimed at maximizing patient recovery.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate effective treatment programs.
  • Participate in clinical meetings to enhance treatment coordination.
  • Educate patients and their families, developing detailed home programs to support ongoing recovery.
  • Prepare for patient discharge, including necessary equipment orders and recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients in various environments, including home, school, and community settings.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Speech Therapy is required.
  • Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist is mandatory.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or eligibility for certification based on professional experience is required.
  • Current CPR certification is necessary.
