Job SummaryThe Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Developmental Specialist to join our team of professionals providing Early Intervention home-based services to patients birth to age 3 in Allegheny County and/or Butler County.
Key Responsibilities- Implement EI services according to the child's IFSP
- Provide developmental services to patients of all programs and external contracts
- Ensure required documentation is completed for all patients within specific timeframes
- Collaborate with other developmental specialists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech therapists
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in child development, early intervention, early childhood education, early childhood special education, special education, or family studies
- 3-5 years of experience working directly with children and families
- Capacity to develop proficiency in the performance of various treatment protocols
- Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to effectively communicate and work with all staff
- Ability to perform developmental services a minimum of eight hours per day
- Ability to sustain moderate physical activities including but not limited to getting on and off dynamic therapy equipment
- Ability to communicate information in a professional and courteous manner with other staff and families
