About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for filling orders with accuracy, checking technician-prepared products, maintaining security of the pharmacy and controlled substances, entering orders and patient information with precision, aiding in the training of new staff, and updating the manager on daily activities.

Responsibilities
  • Verify the appropriateness of medication orders
  • Check dispensed medications for accuracy, sterility, and stability
  • Review and optimize medication therapy
  • Provide education to healthcare professionals and patient counseling on medication therapies
  • Report daily operations, projects, and expectations to the Clinical Pharmacy Manager
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • One year of hospital experience preferred
  • Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state where the pharmacy is located
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred
  • Hospital pharmacy residency preferred
  • Strong drug knowledge base, including pharmacokinetics, dosing, and nutritional support
