As a CDCA, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients on their path to recovery, working closely with licensed counselors and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct client intake assessments and assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate group and individual counseling sessions under the supervision of a licensed counselor.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to client care.
  • Educate clients and their families about substance use disorders and the recovery process.
  • Adhere to all regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA and Title 42 CFR Part 2, ensuring strict confidentiality of client information.
Qualifications:
  • Certification: Valid CDCA certification from the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a behavioral health or substance use treatment setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, compassionate and empathetic approach to client care, ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
