The Akerman LLP office in Winston-Salem, NC seeks an associate with 2 to 3 years of experience in general commercial litigation for its dynamic and growing litigation team. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker who takes initiative and is focused on solving complex problems efficiently. A strong desire to take depositions, argue motions or hearings, and try cases is preferred. Prior experience before the NC Business Court is a plus. Candidates must have the ability to work as a team member in a collaborative environment. Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills are required. The successful candidate must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school and be a member of the North Carolina State Bar or have the ability to promptly obtain admission in North Carolina.
