  • Plan and Service Plumbing Systems: Plan, install, and service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment, and controls.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to residential customers by educating them on plumbing services recommended in their homes.
  • Identify and Select Required Tools and Equipment: Identify required tools and special equipment, and select the type and size of pipe required.
  • Install Supports and Hangers: Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Assemble and Install Valves and Fittings: Assemble and install valves and fittings.
  • Install and Repair Water Treatment Equipment: Install, repair, and maintain water treatment equipment, piping, and controls.
  • Install and Repair Underground Piping Systems: Install, repair, and maintain underground storm sanitary and water piping systems.
  • Install and Repair Plumbing Fixtures and Appliances: Install, repair, and maintain sinks, tubs, and toilets, as well as water heaters and conditioners.
  • Test Pipe Systems and Fixtures: Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures.
  • Apply Codes and Regulations: Apply all codes to installations, repairs, and maintenance, and ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: High School Diploma or equivalent required, associates and college degrees preferred.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to drive a company service truck safely at all times and to maintain a clean driving record.
  • Excellent Communication and Time Management Skills: Excellent written, verbal communication, and listening skills, as well as excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to Sell Services: Ability to sell services to customers in an effective and satisfactory manner, and to assist the customer in choosing the best service option and products.
  • Ability to Work a Varying Schedule: Ability to work a varying schedule depending on the company's needs, and to work off-shift with minimal notice if required.
