We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineer to join our team at Amtec Inc. as a Prototyping Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient production processes and layouts to meet the needs of our business and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and design sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts.
- Utilize capacity analysis to establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
- Design arrangement of machines and benches within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout.
- Model operational environments, perform trade studies via computer simulation, and provide decision support for alternative manufacturing architectures and layouts.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, and 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Self-starter with superior communications skills and the ability to multitask and resolve conflicts.
- Prior experience in a prototype/production environment and proficiency in Excel, Visual Basic, and data management tools.
- Formal Six Sigma training with a green belt and working knowledge of Prototyping and assembly processes.
- Experience with PTC Creo, GD&T, and data management tools.
- Understanding of Low Volume, High Mix manufacturing.
