Job Summary:

Aircraft Mechanic II is responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on aircraft, ensuring they are airworthy and meet safety standards. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of aircraft components.
  • Conduct functional checks and run-ups to ensure aircraft systems are functioning properly.
  • Use specialized tools and equipment to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to complete tasks and ensure aircraft are ready for flight.
  • Document maintenance activities and record-keeping.
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with a focus on helicopters.
  • Must be Mission/Design/Series (MDS) qualified or have at least 4 years' experience in the classification for the applicable MDS/MH60-R.
  • Completed Naval Aircrew school and MH60-R Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) training school.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government Common Access Card (CAC) and Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) clearance.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a government background check.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Must be able to pass a FAA medical exam and maintain a Class 1 medical certificate.
