As a key member of the city's leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing various departments, including General Administration, Community Services, Finance, Fire, Facilities Maintenance, Police, Public Utilities, and Public Works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the city, working closely with city departments, outside agencies, and the community to ensure the city continues to thrive.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs to achieve the city's goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and manage the city's budget, ensuring effective use of resources and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of city staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with city officials, community leaders, and stakeholders to promote the city's interests and advance its goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, with a Master's degree or Certified Public Manager credentialing preferred.
  • At least 10 years of progressive public administration experience, with 3 years in a City Manager or Assistant City Manager role, or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
