Job SummaryThe Nurse Practitioner - Clinical Care Coordinator will deliver primary health care, including recognition and management of common illnesses and injuries in the Emergency Department setting. The successful candidate will assess, plan, and provide patient care under the supervision of a physician, examining patients, performing comprehensive physical examinations, and compiling patient medical data.
Responsibilities- Deliver primary health care, including recognition and management of common illnesses and injuries
- Assess, plan, and provide patient care under the supervision of a physician
- Examine patients, perform comprehensive physical examinations, and compile patient medical data
- Perform therapeutic procedures, including administering injections and immunizations, suturing, managing wounds and infections
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN, and Masters degree in advanced clinical practice nursing or graduate of post-Masters certificate program for nurse practitioner
- 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred
- Two years full-time as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner; five years preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare procedures, counseling/advising skills, decision-making and problem-solving skills, interpersonal/human relations skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories, knowledge of health education theory and practice, ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards, knowledge of clinical operations and procedures, knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in area of expertise, knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
