Under the guidance of the Lead Linen Distribution Associate and the Environmental Services Supervisor, the Linen Distribution Associate plays a crucial role in the collection, inventory management, and distribution of hospital linens and uniforms. This position ensures that all user departments are supplied with clean and sanitary linens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage positively with colleagues, visitors, and staff in alignment with the core values of Jefferson.
- Deliver clean and sanitary linens to all departments, including restocking carts for patient units, scrub dispensing units, and departmental linen dispensers.
- Collect soiled scrubs or linens while maintaining an accurate awareness of linen inventory levels.
- Ensure the upkeep of equipment, uniforms, clean carts, and supply closets to uphold a professional appearance throughout the hospital.
- Adhere to established personal protective equipment protocols to safeguard against exposure to blood, potentially infectious materials, chemical disinfectants, radiation, and other hazardous substances.
- Monitor linen inventory and promptly inform the supervisor of any shortages.
- Respond to communications in a timely manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
AND
Experience:
Preferred experience of 6 months to 1 year in housekeeping or cleaning within a healthcare setting, though not mandatory.
Employment Conditions:
Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for individuals working at clinical entities or at the University. If not currently vaccinated, candidates must receive the vaccination prior to the hire date if offered employment, unless an approved medical or religious exemption is obtained from Jefferson.
