Position Overview:

The Export Control Manager is responsible for overseeing compliance with export regulations and ensuring adherence to international trade laws. This role is essential in facilitating smooth operations within the organization while meeting all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance and direction to ensure compliance with U.S. Export Control Regulations.
  • Develop and implement procedures to maintain compliance with various export regulations, including ITAR and EAR.
  • Act as the primary Export Compliance Officer, engaging with U.S. agencies for registration and licensing of export activities.
  • Prepare and submit export license applications and other necessary documentation to relevant government departments.
  • Maintain and update the Export Compliance Manual and related policies.
  • Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews, reporting any issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver training on export compliance topics to ensure staff are informed of regulatory changes.
  • Assist in safeguarding Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and ensure proper handling of sensitive data.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding export classification from various stakeholders.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is required, along with significant experience in global trade compliance. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex regulations.

Experience with U.S. export regulations and direct interaction with government agencies is essential. Proficiency in relevant software and systems is also necessary.
