Assembly Specialist

At Builders FirstSource, a leading supplier of building materials and services, we're seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate assembly of high-quality products.

As an Assembly Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of materials and products, including windows, doors, trusses, panels, and stairs. You'll be responsible for performing repetitive assembly operations, using a range of skills and techniques to ensure that every product meets our high standards.

While performing the duties of this job, you'll be continuously required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. You'll also be required to walk frequently, and occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. You must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds continuously, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. You'll be continuously exposed to moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to airborne particles. You'll also be frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.

To perform this job successfully, you'll need to be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, and verbally express yourself effectively in individual and small group situations. You'll also need to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and read a tape measure. Prior carpentry experience is helpful but not required.

The estimated salary for this position is $18.50 per hour, based on the location and industry standards.
