We are looking for an attorney with exceptional knowledge of civil procedure and evidence and trial procedures. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial.
The ideal candidate will possess outstanding research abilities, written and oral advocacy skills, and be well organized and detail-oriented. They will also have the ability to independently manage a busy and time-sensitive caseload.
We offer a hybrid work arrangement, which includes both in-office and remote work. The selected candidate will be required to spend some time in the office and will have the flexibility to work from home if desired.
Our team is based in Jericho, NY, with a satellite office in Westchester (Harrison), NY. We provide a congenial and professional work environment with skilled support staff.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial
- Develop and implement effective litigation strategies
- Conduct research and analysis to support case development
- Prepare and present evidence in court
- Manage and direct support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling
- Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Law degree from ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Active license to practice law in New York and be a member in good standing with the state bar
- 1-10 years of insurance defense litigation/trial experience
- Experience working in a paperless environment
- Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
We offer a competitive salary range of $125,625.00-$160,000.00, with potential yearly incentive pay up to 16% of base salary. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
