Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team in Southfield, MI. As a key member of our Law Department, you will be responsible for handling complex civil litigation cases, including No Fault/PIP, Bodily Injury, and Premises Liability litigation. Your exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, the rules of evidence, and trial strategy will be invaluable in this role.

Responsibilities

* Handle a caseload of complex civil litigation cases, including insurance defense and No Fault/PIP litigation* Develop and implement effective trial strategies to achieve successful outcomes* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless case management and communication* Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting insurance defense and civil litigation* Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

* Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school* Active license to practice law in Michigan and membership in good standing with the state bar* 3+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense* Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation* Experience working in a paperless environment* Eligibility to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately* Ability to work in a hybrid role, with a mix of office and virtual work arrangements
