Your Contribution:

Jacobs is in search of a Senior Systems Engineer to provide expertise on a significant contract. In this role, you will be recognized as a specialist, delivering technical direction and insights to fulfill all project requirements. You will also offer your technical knowledge in system security necessities, architect security frameworks, and formulate security designs for various program platforms. You will create System Engineering plans and protocols in alignment with DoD best practices. Your responsibilities will include researching, designing, developing, testing, or overseeing the production and installation of RF communications devices, components, or systems for various applications including commercial, industrial, military, or scientific sectors.

The working atmosphere is dynamic and may involve pressure from deadlines. The nature of this position necessitates a high level of collaboration and teamwork with colleagues as well as stakeholders across the organization and client base. Our program ensures readily accessible process information and support for team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Functions of a Senior Systems Engineer:
  • Research, design, develop, test, or oversee the production and installation of RF communications devices, components, or systems across various sectors.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Experience Required: 10 years
  • At least 5 years of experience must be in roles related to DoD communication systems or networks.
  • 5 of the 10 years should involve work on Project-25 compatible public-safety radio communications systems. Experience may overlap.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an IT-related field.
  • DoD compliant IAT Level III certification: GSLC, CAP, CASP, CISM, and/or CISSP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the XACTA IA Manager is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and prioritize needs and requirements effectively.
  • Prior military experience is considered a plus for this role.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and system enhancement is essential due to the evolving nature of cyber threats.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, data formats, and software applications.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and responsible team player with exceptional relationship management abilities.
